Captcha

Advertising exists everywhere around us. From TV to radio, billboards to websites, we are exposed to ads. If you are unfamiliar with Google’s advertising campaign, be sure to check out Adwords (which I will post about in an upcoming day). Currently, Google’s Adwords is a main source of revenue for the company. But they do not seem to be stopping there. In fact, Google is thinking about expanding to advertising through Captcha. Captcha is a service that stops spamming. You know, the little box that you have to enter a random word/words into that sometimes don’t even make sense (as pictured below). Soon, this box will include advertisements (possibly through services such as Google).

So what does this mean for us?

If you are a small business looking to get the word out for your product(s), this will be a very efficient and inexpensive way of doing so. Your reach will be great and at a low cost. Sadly, this is currently only in the Beta form. But you can try it out yourself here. As an entrepreneur or business person, this should excite you. Look for an announcement from Google shortly.
